About usHistoryFounded in 1964 by Henri and Thérèse Fontaine, Fontaine initially specialized in the installation and maintainance of domestic and agricultural pumping networks. Over the course of time and events, the company embarked on an impressive course and began channeling its forces in the design, manufacture and distribution of sluice gates and water control equipment for use in environmental industries. Many years of research and development have led to the expansion of the Fontaine product line all the while maintaining a high level of quality. In 1997, Fontaine obtained the ISO 9001 certification, acquired on the basis of its exemplary product quality control and the excellence of its service on all levels. The company is now certified for ISO 9001:2000. Fontaine also has certifications specifically for the drinking water sector, among them NSF/ANSI 61 and ACS. Moreover, Fontaine gates are from now on identified with CE and ATEX markings.* The year 2003 saw major developments for Fontaine, with the opening of three new subsidiaries in Europe to better serve its clientele overseas. In 2006, Fontaine also opened a subsidiary in the United States. The Fontaine group now has more than 180 employees, 5 subsidiaries, 3 sales offices and 70 manufacturing agents in more than 20 countries.
